Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 95 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.68 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/20/2025 Start Time: 01:08 AM CDT Start Location: 2 NW Cape Girardeau / Cape Girardeau County / MO Start Lat/Lon: 37.3278 / -89.5685 End Date: 05/20/2025 End Time: 01:10 AM CDT End Location: 2 NNE Cape Girardeau / Cape Girardeau County / MO End Lat/Lon: 37.3304 / -89.5381 Survey Summary: An EF1 tornado touched down initially at the Cape Splash Aquatic Center, where it did some damage to overhead umbrella structures and a few trees. It continued east across Kings Highway and into neighborhoods of northern Cape Girardeau. Numerous trees were damaged including some that were snapped or uprooted. Several homes experienced minor roof or siding damage. The tornado appeared to lift along or just east of Oak Hill Street.
