Rating: EF2 Estimated Peak Wind: 114 mph Path Length /statute/: 19.07 miles Path Width /maximum/: 0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 4 Start Date: 04/02/2025 Start Time: 08:18 PM CDT Start Location: 4 NNE Blandville / Ballard County / KY Start Lat/Lon: 36.996 / -88.9278 End Date: 04/02/2025 End Time: 08:34 PM CDT End Location: 1 S Brookport / McCracken County / KY End Lat/Lon: 37.1094 / -88.6315 Survey Summary: The tornado began near the town of Gage in eastern Ballard County, snapping power poles and doing damage to several barns and outbuildings. One barn appears to have been totally destroyed. The tornado then did significant damage to a church where a family sustained serious injuries while attempting to shelter under an awning. The tornado continued eastward into McCracken County where it did serious damage to a church just off the property of Barkley Regional Airport. Trees and power poles were damaged along with minor damage to home and business exteriors as the tornado continued east down Hinklleville Rd into northern parts of Paducah where the track ended at the Ohio River. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ CW/KC/JGG
