The tornado damaged approximately 200 structures as it moved northeast causing severe roof damage to many structures. Power poles were snapped, trees were snapped and uprooted along the path. The tornado continued along Highway 25 into the community of Delta where many of the communities inhabitants where inside a FEMA community storm shelter. The tornado severely damaged several buildings in Delta and continued northeast ending just south of Dutchtown. .Cape Girardeau... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 8.33 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/03/2025 Start Time: 06:56 PM CDT Start Location: 3 SW Cape Girardeau / Cape Girardeau County / MO Start Lat/Lon: 37.2692 / -89.5962 End Date: 04/02/2025 End Time: 07:06 PM CDT End Location: 2 NNE East Cape Girardea / Alexander County / IL End Lat/Lon: 37.3215 / -89.4667 Survey Summary: The tornado began near the Dalhousie Golf Club and moved northeast into the southwest side of the city of Cape Girardeau north of Shawnee Parkway. The tornado caused tree damage and minor structural damage to apartments, businesses and homes as it moved east into downtown Cape Girardeau.
