...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Daily peak heat index values of 100 to 106.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
  Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Record to near record hot temperatures and high humidity
  may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Heat Advisory has been extended thru
  Sunday for the entire Quad State Region. Although heat index values
  will only be near 100, the prolonged period of late season hot
  temperatures and high humidity will continue to elevate
  heat-related health impacts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
