This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Prolonged heat and humidity will again cause peak heat index
values to top out up to around 105 degrees today. The only relief
will be temporary and brief from an isolated to scattered
afternoon or evening thunderstorm. Heavy rain and lightning will
be the primary storm associated hazards.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

The Heat Advisory continues for the entire Quad State through
Friday. With each passing day of triple digit heat indices, the
potential for health-related impacts increases. Isolated to
scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will provide some
relief from the heat Friday. Brief downpours and lightning will
be the primary hazards with the storms.

Thunderstorm chances will increase over the weekend and early next
week, when a cold front will attempt to pass through the region.
Torrential rainfall and lightning will remain the primary
storm associated hazards.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.
