.DISCUSSION...
High pressure moving through have lightened wind speeds heading
into today. A wintry mix is forecast late this afternoon through
tonight with mostly snow in the northwest, mostly rain in the
southeast, and a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain in between.
Overall, up to an inch or two of snow is possible in the
northeast with lower amounts elsewhere, and freezing rain amounts
in the south will be very low. Any snow cover from this system
will help keep temperatures well below normal midweek. A dry cold
front moves through Wednesday night and an additional
precipitation event is forecast for the end of the week.
