...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Kentucky...
Indiana...

  Ohio River at Owensboro.

.Heavy rainfall that occurred last week across the Ohio River basin
continues to cause river levels to rise. Moderate flooding is now
forecast to develop at Owensboro by early Friday morning with a
crest around 44.3 feet on Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Ohio River at Owensboro.

* WHEN...Until late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 44.0 feet, Parts of Smothers Park may flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:30 PM CST Thursday the stage was 43.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 44.3
    feet Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    Tuesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
