823 FXUS63 KPAH 191935 AFDPAH Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Paducah KY 235 PM CDT Sat Oct 19 2024 .KEY MESSAGES... - Dry conditions and a warming trend can be expected through the first half of next week. Daily highs in the 70s will peak around 80 degrees by Tuesday and Wednesday. - A cold front`s passage will bring a marked cool off for the week`s end...back in the 60s to lower 70`s for highs. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 235 PM CDT Sat Oct 19 2024 The combination of upper level ridging and surface high pressure at the surface across the eastern CONUS will provide tranquil weather conditions to the region through early next week. Clear skies and light winds are expected to continue. Temperatures will gradually warm into next week, with lower 80`s expected by Wednesday. Lows will also be warming up. A mid lvl cutoff low is expected to lift out of the four-corners and move across the central plains into mid week. Eventually this low gets picked up by deep trough digging into the northern plains. This trough will drag a front through the region late Wednesday with high pressure building in behind it. Rain chances continue to trend even lower from previous forecasts. Can`t rule out a few sprinkles but the forecast will now feature dry weather through late next week. The main changes associated with this front will be a cooler airmass with highs falling into the mid 60`s to lower 70`s. Late Friday and looking into the early weekend, a few upper level disturbances are advertised to move through the region which may provide a slight chance of rain which the NBM does suggest. && .AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z SUNDAY/... Issued at 1223 AM CDT Sat Oct 19 2024 High pressure will remain in control through Sunday providing clear skies, light winds, and mostly VFR conditions. The exception is at CGI where areas of fog are possible Sunday morning. Any fog should clear up shortly after sunrise. && .PAH WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... IL...None. MO...None. IN...None.
