.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 144 AM CDT Tue Apr 22 2025

No significant changes to the NBM with the overnight forecast package
as high pressure will allow for tranquil weather conditions to
prevail through Wednesday. Patchy fog is possible early this
morning; otherwise, a prolong period of unsettled weather now looks
to hold off until Thursday and continue into early next week as
multiple shortwaves move through. Friday afternoon into Friday
evening is when the risk of showers and thunderstorms will be the
greatest as a cold front slowly pushes southeast across the FA.
Despite modest instability, the shear still looks be extremely
meager on the latest model guidance, inhibiting widespread severe
weather potential. Total rainfall up to one inch remains possible.
High temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s are progged to reach
the mid 80s across portions of the FA by early next week after a
brief cool down, running 15 degrees above normal for this time
of year.
