.DISCUSSION...
Current southeasterly winds of 5 to 15 mph will gradually veer toward the south
after midnight. There will be stronger winds in the lower atmosphere above the
surface overnight. Those winds are not expected to be realized near ground level,
and should not impact the fire itself, but wind speeds near the fireground should
be closely monitored for locally stronger gusts. After sunrise, winds will become
southwesterly at sustained speeds around 10 mph. RHs will gradually improve to
above 40% by midnight, and recover to 70 percent by sunrise. Triple digit/near-
record heat is again expected Sunday with afternoon humidities at or slightly
below 30%. Winds will remain from a southerly direction at speeds between 10-15
mph with occasional gusts.
