.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather conditions increase to an Elevated Risk this afternoon
and Wednesday afternoon across western Oklahoma and western north
Texas. Breezy southwest winds will continue to advect slightly
drier "west Texas-based) air across the risked area resulting in
very low afternoon RH`s of 15-20%. Not expecting windspeeds to be
very strong but breezy (15-20 mph) with weak gusts but the excessive
hot dry air with very high fuel loading will at least Elevate the
risk. A Fire Danger Statement has been issued for today. A
"summer" cold front pushes through at least northern Oklahoma on
Wednesday afternoon keeping northwest Oklahoma out of the Elevated
fire risk, although the remainder of western Oklahoma into parts of
Texas will remain in the risk. By Thursday into the weekend the
fire danger risk lowers.
