At 803 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19 miles northeast of Colville, or 46 miles northwest of Priest River, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Torrential rains, winds in excess of 20 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Lost Creek, Little Pend Oreille Lakes Campground, and Tiger. This includes U.S. Highway 20 in Washington between mile markers 379 and 396. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
