...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern Latah,
east central Nez Perce and north central Lewis Counties through 715
PM PDT...
At 701 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles southwest of Orofino, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Peck.
This includes U.S. Highway 12 in Idaho between mile markers 34 and
36, and near mile marker 38.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
