...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of west central Nez
Perce, central Garfield and Asotin Counties through 715 PM PDT...
At 614 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 11 miles south of Ski Bluewood, or 26 miles east of
Walla Walla, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Pomeroy, Anatone, Cloverland, Rogersburg, Peola, Alder Thicket
Campground, Wickiup Campground, Misery Spring Campground, and Spruce
Spring Campground.
This includes U.S. Highway 12 in Washington between mile markers 402
and 407.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
