Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0800 PDT on July 16.
.DISCUSSION...
Hot and unstable conditions are forecast today. Chances for showers
and thunderstorms increases today and becomes more likely this
evening into tonight. Slight or isolated chances are expected through
the day, then chances increase to more likely after 1700-1900
this evening and chances continue through the evening and overnight
hours, then gradually wane through the day Friday. Some of the
thunderstorms could be strong, capable very strong and erratic
wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail.
Winds will come in from the north this morning, then
decrease this afternoon. Winds then increase again this evening
with the incoming precipitation chances, turning more south to
southeast after 2100-2300 and decreasing. Winds turn a more
northerly direction again toward early Friday with the diurnal
drainage, then increase from the south in the afternoon.
