.DISCUSSION...

Breezy northwest winds will continue for the Pioneer Fire through
Friday behind a cold front passage. Dry conditions into Friday night
with fair overnight relative humidity recovery. Additional weather
systems over the weekend will bring increasing clouds and possibly
some light rain on Sunday, but wetting rains are looking unlikely. A
ridge of high pressure will build in early next week allowing
temperatures to warm above normal.

Max temperature.....1100 ft elevation: 73 near the lake.
                    6000 ft elevation: 50 near ridge top.

                    25 mph. Strongest winds on ridge tops and
                    along Lake Chelan. For steep south to north
                    drainages, winds locally downslope/downvalley

                    upvalley 4 to 8 mph.
Mixing height.......Near surface through 1000 PDT increasing to
                    3000 ft AGL in the afternoon.
