Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Washington and North Idaho
National Weather Service Spokane WA
217 PM PDT Sat Jul 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Central WA:
- Breezy westerly winds and low relative humidity to bring
  elevated fire weather conditions Saturday.
- Wet and slow moving thunderstorms over the mountains Sunday
  through Tuesday.

Eastern WA:
- Breezy westerly winds and low relative humidity to bring
  elevated fire weather conditions Saturday.
- Isolated showers and thunderstorms far northeast WA Saturday.
- Wet and slow moving thunderstorms over the mountains Sunday
  through Tuesday.

North ID:
- Breezy west to southwest winds Saturday.
- Isolated showers and thunderstorms north of Sandpoint Saturday.
- Wet and slow moving thunderstorms over the mountains Sunday
  through Tuesday.

Saturday afternoon will feature cooler but still dry conditions and
breezy west-southwest winds 10-15 mph gusting up to 25 mph,
leading to elevated fire weather concerns. A few showers and
isolated t-storms will be found over the northeast mountain
districts. Chances for showers and thunderstorms increase Sunday
through Tuesday especially near the Canadian border. Main concern
with the thunderstorms will be flash flooding as they will be
moving slowly.
