An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies:

    Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency

An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Stevens, Spokane, Lincoln,
Grant, Pend Oreille, Ferry, Chelan, Douglas, Adams, Garfield,
Okanogan, Whitman, and Asotin Counties until further notice due to
current wildfire smoke from regional wildfires. When air quality is
Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside,
avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor
air.

An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies:

Nez Perce Tribe

* WHAT...Air Quality Advisory due to smoke from wildfires. Wildfire
  smoke may move in and out of the area depending on fire and wind
  activity; some areas may be more impacted than others. Air quality
  is currently in the Moderate to Unhealthy categories of the
  Air Quality Index (AQI). No EPA/NPT burn permits will be approved.

* WHERE...Nez Perce Reservation.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM PDT Friday, September 5.

* IMPACTS...Those who experience greater health effects from smoke
  includechildren under 18, elders, pregnant women, people with
  asthma or have difficulty breathing, diabetes, heart problems or
  otherwise compromised health, and people who have high exposure
  (those who work, exercise, or spend extensive time outdoors).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Those individuals who are
sensitive to increased particulate matter or smoke are encouraged to
avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity during this advisory.
It is also recommended that all other individuals limit prolonged or
strenuous activity outdoors.

Idaho Department of Environmental Quality in Coeur d`Alene
    Kootenai Tribe of Idaho

* WHAT...Air Quality Advisory because of degraded air quality due to
  wildfire smoke.

* WHERE...Bonner, Kootenai, Shoshone, Benewah Counties.

* WHEN...Until 12 PM PST September 6th.

* IMPACTS...Members of sensitive groups may experience health
  effects.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Air pollutants can cause
breathing difficulties for children, the elderly, as well as persons
with respiratory problems. Those individuals who are sensitive to
increased particulate matter or smoke are encouraged to avoid
prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity during this advisory. Open
burning is prohibited by air quality rule. It is also recommended
that all other individuals limit prolonged or strenuous activity
outdoors.
