.KEY MESSAGES...

- Isolated thunderstorms possible through Monday morning.

- Warm and dry for the new work week.

&&

.SYNOPSIS...
As the system continues to exit the region, isolated
thunderstorms are possible through Monday morning. Behind the
system, a ridge pattern will lead to a return of warm, dry
conditions across the region.

&&

.DISCUSSION...
Today and Monday: As the weekend system continues to exit the
region, it will have lingering showers over extreme Eastern WA
and the ID Panhandle. Weak afternoon instability could bring an
isolated thunderstorm over Southeast WA and the Lower ID
Panhandle this afternoon. Activity will wane overnight.
Ensembles are showing enough instability and residual moisture
to pulse another round of shower activity Monday morning. With
the bulk of moisture out of the region, amounts are not expected
to be more than a hundredth with a 50% probability of more. It
could generate an isolated lightning strike across extreme
Eastern WA and ID Panhandle. Main impact from any thunderstorm
will be the infrequent lightning. Winds will continue the calm
overnight night and gusty in the afternoons. Wind gusts will be
in the teens. Highs will be in the 80s. Lows will be in the 50s.

Tuesday through Saturday: Weak ridging will build over the
region through the workweek bringing a return of dry and warm
weather. Temperatures will gradually climb back into the upper
80s and low 90s. /JDC
