THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
  accumulations around one inch along with a light glaze of ice.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

* WHEN...From 4 AM to 11 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Thursday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation will begin as snow, then change
  to a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain during the
  Thursday morning commute. Temperatures will gradually rise above
  freezing changing the precip to plain rain by late morning.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Check local Department of
Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and

  conditions will impact the Thursday morning commute.
