...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN SUFFOLK COUNTY THROUGH
630 PM EDT...

At 551 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Centerport, or over Northport, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Islip, Brentwood, Commack, Huntington Station, Centereach, Shirley,
Medford, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, Huntington, Patchogue, Northport,
Holbrook, Dix Hills, and Smithtown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
