...Severe Weather Awareness Week is April 20 through April 26...

The goal of this weather safety campaign is to educate the general
public in severe weather, from science to service. During the next
five days we will: Review some severe weather terms and definitions
on Monday. Discuss severe thunderstorms on Tuesday. Talk about
severe weather preparedness and safety on Wednesday. Cover tornadoes
and tornado safety on Thursday. Review flash flooding and flood
safety on Friday. Finally we will look back at the key items from
the past week, focusing on preparedness and safety, on Saturday.
