...A GUST FRONT OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

  Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 NM...
  Long Island South Shore Bays...

At 1026 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along
a line extending from near Fishers Island to near Shinnecock Bay to
near Moriches Inlet to 9 nm southeast of Fire Island Inlet, moving
east at 60 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these
storms pass.
