.DISCUSSION...
Wet conditions expected today and Wednesday with a slow moving low
pressure system bringing heavy showers and thunderstorms. Average
total rainfall amounts for portions of northeast NJ, the Lower
Hudson Valley and southwestern CT are forecast to be between 3 and 5
inches. Elsewhere, 2 to 3 inches is expected. Today, a S/SE flow
increases and peaks overnight around 10 to 20 mph. The flow weakens
closer to 10 mph on Wednesday, with the overhead low bringing a
different wind direction depending on location. Min RH values each
day will generally be between 75 and 90 percent.
