.DISCUSSION...
Showers linger across parts of Southern Connecticut and Long
Island today, with otherwise mainly dry conditions elsewhere.
Mainly dry conditions tonight into Saturday but with a growing
chance of showers Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening. Some
embedded thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon into
Saturday evening.
Northerly gusty winds lighten tonight into Saturday. Wind
direction becomes more variable on Saturday. For most locations
today, wind speeds are near 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to near
20 to 25 mph. Winds near 5 to 10 mph tonight into Saturday.
Minimum relative humidity is forecast to range mainly between 50
and 70 percent today and mainly between 70 and 90 percent for
Saturday.
