...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following
  counties, Essex, Hudson and Union and southeast New York,
  including the following counties, Kings (Brooklyn), New York
  (Manhattan) and Richmond (Staten Island).

* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 556 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Rainfall amounts of mostly 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
    the area, with local amounts up to 1,25 inches. This rain in
    a short period of time will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Newark, Jersey City, Elizabeth, Flatbush, Bayonne,
    Plainfield, Linden, Orange, Coney Island, Summit, Millburn,
    Harrison, Todt Hill, Crown Heights, Huguenot, The Verrazano
    Narrows Bridge, Canarsie, Bay Ridge, Lower East Side and
    SoHo.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
