441 FXUS64 KOHX 080534 AFDOHX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Nashville TN 1234 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 ...New AVIATION... .KEY MESSAGES... Updated at 1228 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 - No hazardous weather expected over the next week with dry conditions prevailing. - Cooler temperatures in the 70s for the remainder of the week will return to the 80s next week. && .SHORT TERM... (Tonight through Thursday Night) Issued at 1228 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 A cold front will continue making its way through the area tonight. While it does so, there does remain low chances (10-20%) for light showers overnight, mainly along the Plateau. But by daybreak, the front will have cleared the area, and dry conditions will once again make their return to Middle TN. Northerly winds post-front will be brisk with occasional gusts of 15-25 mph, and temperatures will be much cooler with highs in the 70s. Cloud cover will be persistent throughout much of the day Wednesday, but will clear by the evening hours. With a much cooler airmass in place and mostly clear skies, lows Wednesday night and into Thursday morning will be chilly with temperatures falling into the mid and upper-40s for much of the area. Calm weather continues into Thursday with highs in the upper-60s along the upper Plateau and in the 70s elsewhere. && .LONG TERM... (Friday through next Wednesday) Issued at 1228 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 A benign weather pattern persists through the long-term as weak ridging results in a gradual warm-up. Highs each day will warm a few degrees so that by Sunday, many locations will be near 80 once again. And temperatures will even be in the mid-80s during the middle of next week. As for rain, there`s none in the forecast through at least Wednesday and likely beyond as ridging dominates. && .AVIATION... (06Z TAFS) Issued at 1228 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 IFR vis/cig is impacting MQY, SRB, and CSV at this hour. This will probably persist overnight across the east, but an approaching front should improve conditions at MQY in the next 2-3 hours as winds increase from the NW (IFR cigs slower to erode). The front is near BNA as I write this, so VFR looks to continue, though increasing clouds are expected with MVFR cigs likely through ~17z. Some IFR cigs have been TEMPO`d for BNA through early morning as well. Winds behind the front will favor a N direction at 8-12 kts gusting to ~20 kts through much of the TAF period. VFR area- wide mid afternoon with clear skies by sunset. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
