...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT KNOX COUNTY THROUGH 630 PM CDT...

At 551 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles southwest of Dante to 6 miles southwest
of Verdel to 7 miles northeast of Page. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

* Locations impacted include...
  Creighton, Verdigre, Niobrara, Santee, Center, Winnetoon, Verdel,
  Bazile Mills, The Highway 14 And 59 Junction, Santee Reservation,
  and Niobrara State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

If on or near Lewis and Clark Lake, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
