The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy has issued an Air Quality Alert through 5 pm this evening. Scattered showers and storms possible through the morning for our more central-Nebraska counties, continuing into the afternoon for southeast Nebraska. While chances for severe weather will be low (less than 5%), locally heavy rainfall from slow-moving storms could lead to localized flash flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Showers and storms may develop again late tonight into Sunday morning across much of eastern Nebraska. Redevelopment may also occur late Sunday night into Monday. Severe weather is not expected. Nighttime chances for showers and storms continue from Tuesday through Friday. The severe threat will be better determined in the coming days. Temperatures will warm throughout the week, reaching the low 90s by Wednesday-Thursday.
