Morning showers and storms continue to move northeast of the area.
A hot and humid afternoon under mostly sunny skies is expected.
Temperatures this afternoon reach a high between 93 and 97. Heat
index values may reach up to 100. A south wind of 5-10 mph with
gusts up to 15-20 mph continues throughout the afternoon and
evening. Afternoon minimum relative humidity falls to between
40-45%. Mixing heights increase to between 3000 and 4000 ft for
good smoke dispersal. Temperatures remain warm tonight, falling
to between 75 and 79. South winds continue, but may become light
by Thursday morning. Maximum relative humidity climbs to 70-75%.
There is a low (10-20%) chance of rain by Thursday morning. Any
rainfall amounts should be relatively small.
