...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following
  counties, Madison and Stanton.

* WHEN...Until 815 PM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding along the north fork of the Elkhorn River at
  Norfolk is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 820 AM CDT, heavy rainfall that occurred Thursday night
    has led to significant rises on the north fork of the Elkhorn
    River just upstream from its confluence with the Elkhorn
    River. Flood stage has been exceeded at the gauge site along
    U.S. 275 in the southeast part of Norfolk. Minor flooding is
    likely to continue today, and potentially into tonight.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Norfolk.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
