461 WGUS83 KOAX 200648 FLSOAX Flood Advisory National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE 148 AM CDT Sun Jul 20 2025 NEC053-055-155-177-201000- /O.NEW.KOAX.FA.Y.0029.250720T0648Z-250720T1000Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Dodge NE-Douglas NE-Saunders NE-Washington NE- 148 AM CDT Sun Jul 20 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Nebraska, including the following counties, Dodge, Douglas, Saunders and Washington. * WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 148 AM CDT, Trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring. Radar indicates between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fremont, Arlington, Cedar Bluffs, Kennard, Inglewood, Woodcliff, Washington, Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area, Camp Eagle, Camp Cedars and Ames. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
