counties, will cause elevated river levels downstream.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Iowa, including the following counties,
  Harrison and Monona and east central Nebraska, including the
  following county, Burt.

* WHEN...Until 715 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams due to heavy rain upstream.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1113 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    West Fork Ditch, Maple Creek, Monona Harrison Ditch, Little
    Sioux River, and the Soldier River. Additional rainfall
    amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This
    additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Onawa, Mapleton, Little Sioux, Castana, Turin, Rodney,
    Kennebec and Little Sioux Scout Ranch.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
