The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Douglas County in east central Nebraska...
  Western Sarpy County in east central Nebraska...
  Eastern Saunders County in east central Nebraska...
  Northwestern Cass County in southeastern Nebraska...

* Until 930 AM CDT.

* At 632 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain has led to standing water on roadways and
  some stalled vehicles in western Sarpy County. Between 2 and 4
  inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3
  inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Southwestern Omaha, Gretna, Elkhorn, Millard, Ashland, Valley,
  Springfield, Yutan, Louisville, Waterloo, Greenwood, Murdock,
  Leshara, Wehrspann Lake, Zorinsky Lake, Chalco, Flanagan Lake,
  South Bend, Two Rivers State Recreation Area and Camp Carol Joy
  Holling.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be prepared for poor visibility and standing water on roadways
during your morning commute. Slow down and allow for extra travel
time.
