.Synopsis...
Coastal flooding along the Eastern Seaboard will continue through the end
of the week... Ongoing and recessional river flooding in the Upper
Midwest... Monsoon activity picks up again next week in the Four Corners
and the Intermountain West... Multiple days of rainfall next week in the
Central and Southern Plains... Localized flash flooding possible late this
week into this weekend in Puerto Rico and the USVI...

.Eastern Seaboard...
Coastal flooding from surge and heavy seas caused by Hurricane Erin is
expected along the Eastern Seaboard from the NC/SC border northward to the
eastern end of Long Island through the end of the week. Portions of
Chesapeake and Delaware Bays are expected to experience moderate to major
coastal flooding.

.Upper Midwest...
Moderate river flooding is ongoing on the Minnesota River (MN), and is
forecast to begin late this weekend on the James River (SD). Eastern IA
tributaries to the Mississippi River will also continue to rise as flood
waves progress downstream. Further east in southern WI and northern IL, the
Fox River (WI) is expected to fall below minor flood stage this weekend,
and action stage flows continue on a couple of rivers in the area.

.Four Corners and the Intermountain West...
Localized flash flooding is expected with an increase in monsoonal activity
across AZ, UT, NV, and western portions of NM and CO beginning on day 2
(Fri) and continuing through the weekend. The threat for more widespread
flash and urban flooding, and perhaps localized small stream flooding, is
expected to increase beginning on day 5 (Mon) and persisting through the
middle of next week when rainfall coverage and intensity in the region is
expected to be at its greatest.

.Central and Southern Plains...
Multiple days of moderate to heavy rainfall are forecast over portions of
eastern CO, northeastern NM, southern KS, the TX Panhandle, and OK over
days 4 - 7 (Sun - Wed), which could lead to at least localized flash,
urban, and small stream flooding in those areas.

.Puerto Rico and the USVI...
Localized flash flooding is possible over eastern PR and the USVI on day 2
(Fri) and across northwestern PR on days 3 and 4 (Sat and Sun) as a
tropical wave passing to the northeast of the islands brings moderate to
heavy rainfall to those areas.
