.Synopsis...
Lingering river flooding and elevated streamflows in Northern California...
Localized flooding and water rises in Southcentral Alaska...

.Discussion...

.Northern California...
Isolated flooding concerns will remain in place over the next few days as
rainfall continues across already saturated soils. Most of the rivers and
streams have crested and are well into recession however, soils remain
saturated as deep as 100 cm across much of the region. Streamflows remain
high with most running above the 90th percentile for all time flows. These
factors suggest some lingering sensitivity to runoff. Nearly all the rivers
that exceeded flood stage during this recent atmospheric river have dropped
out of flood with the exception of Mark West Creek near Mirabel Heights
which is expected to drop out of flood Monday morning. With the lighter
rainfall expected, isolated landslides/rockslides will remain possible in
areas of steep terrain given the already saturated conditions.

Southcentral Alaska...
Ice dam formations are causing localized flooding and water rises in
Anchorage, as well as on smaller rivers across the Mat-Su and Kenai
Peninsula, with impacts possible through the weekend.
