Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. AMZ101-100345- Synopsis for the SW N Atlantic including the Bahamas 1144 AM EDT Sat May 9 2026 .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends southwestward from southeast of Bermuda to 30N64W, then continues westward as a stationary front to beyond northern Florida. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are lingering near this boundary north of 30N. The stationary front will gradually weaken tonight and Sun as the cold front portion shifts eastward and weakens. A stronger cold front is expected to follow a similar path Mon through Tue, followed by fresh to locally strong winds and rough seas. Scattered showers and thunderstorms, some possibly strong to marginally severe, are possible near second front.
