.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure will continue
to build over the area behind a cold front now south of the
waters. Aside from a trough or secondary cold front moving south
over the area today, high pressure then continues through Fri
night. The high will gradually shift NE Sat through Sun as a
coastal low moves N just offshore of the SE U.S. The low will
strengthen and expand as it moves N, being centered just
offshore of the mid-Atlantic coast by Sun night. The broad,
complex low will extend over much of the east coast Sun night and
Mon, with the broad low finally starting to shift E Mon night.
Mariners should monitor later forecasts on the coastal system.
This will be a long duration event for the east coast, impactful
to the mariner.
