Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. Hurricane Erin is expected to pass NE through the Outer Mid- Atlantic Waters Thu night into Fri, remaining S of the waters, then move farther away from the area Fri night into Sat. Long period S swell from Hurricane Erin will continue through Thu night before backing to the SE and E Fri night. A high pressure ridge will move E across the waters Fri night and Sat, then shift E of the area Sat night into Sun. A cold front will near the region from the W by Sun night.
