.DISCUSSION...
Today will be another warm day for the North Slope, with highs in
the 60s and 70s and min RH values in the 30s for inland locations.
West winds will pick up at around 15 to 25 mph across the area
this afternoon and evening before weakening while turning to the
east overnight as a front moves through the area. High temperatures
will dive into the 50s with lows in the 30s beginning Monday, with
min RH values increasing into the 70s or higher. Rain will also
overspread the area beginning Monday morning, with around a
quarter of an inch of rain accumulation possible through Tuesday
night over the northern Arctic Plains and 0.5 to 1 inches of rain
over the southern Arctic Plains, including the northern slopes of
the Brooks Range. Over an inch will be possible in the eastern
Brooks Range / Romanzof Mountains. Isolated thunderstorms are
possible for these sames areas Sunday afternoon and evening.
