.DISCUSSION...
Gusty west winds are expected over the eastern North Slope this
morning with southwest winds gradually diminishing across the
remainder of the slope today. Showery conditions are expected today
and Wednesday, particularly during afternoon and evening hours with
high temps in the mid 60s. Building high pressure Tuesday night
through Wednesday causes winds to shift northeasterly with low
stratus, fog, and cooler temperatures expected to return to areas
nearer the coast by the end of the week. Temperatures cool into the
50s and 60s for Thursday and Friday with minimum RHs stay well above
40%. Warmer and drier conditions are expected this weekend into
early next week as high pressure builds across the area.
