.DISCUSSION...
Generally warm weather is expected through the middle of next week,
with highs in the 60s and 70s across the Arctic Plains and the
northern slopes of the Brooks Range. Minimum RH values will be in
the 30s and 40s over the weekend, although most of the area will
rise into at least the 50s Monday and the 60s Tuesday as showery
weather sets in. Chances for wetting rain during the first few
days of the week will be best over the eastern North Slope.
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible over the Central Brooks
Range Sunday and across most of the eastern North Slope Monday,
with locally heavy rain and gusty winds possible near them. West
to southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph will be possible across the
Arctic Plains Monday, with higher winds in the Western Brooks
Range.
