.DISCUSSION...
Hot and dry conditions will continue Saturday, with temperatures
in the Arctic Plains and along the northern slopes of the Brooks
Range rising into the mid 80s. Min RH values will likewise fall
into the 20s and 30s. During the afternoon hours, widely
scattered thunderstorms will be possible along the Central Brooks
Range and adjacent parts of the Arctic Plains, which could bring
brief periods of heavy rain and gusty winds. Sunday and Monday,
we expect the ridge aloft to break down, bringing scattered
showers, temperatures falling back into the 60s, and excellent RH
recoveries.
