Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is off the north coast of Cuba and will be moving northward, away from the forecast location this weekend. Thus, significant wind and sea impacts are not anticipated directly from Nine. However, abundant moisture will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to waters S of Cuba and in the Windward Passage into Sunday. The stronger thunderstorms will likely induce locally hazardous winds and seas. Away from the thunderstorms, expect moderate to fresh southerly winds, with seas of 3 to 5 ft.
