.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A low pressure trough will move
SE over the S waters early today as a strong cold front
approaches from the NW. The strong cold front will move rather
quickly SE over the N and central waters today, and then reach
the S waters and begin to slow tonight as low pressure develops
near the coast. The low will drift SE near the coast Mon as the
front crosses the remainder of the S waters. High pressure will
build to the W of the area Mon night into Tue as a weakening low
lingers near the coast. The high will build over the N waters
late Tue into Tue night as the low passes just E and SE of the S
waters. The high will dissipate early Wed as another strong cold
front approaches from the W and NW. The strong cold front will
move E and SE over the N waters late Wed, cross the central
waters Wed night, and reach the S waters early Thu. The front
will pass SE of the S waters late Thu as high pressure builds to
the W of the area. The high will remain centered to the W of the
region Thu night as a low pressure trough forms near the coast. A
series of secondary cold front or low pressure troughs will cross
the N waters Thu into Thu night.
