.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Strong high pressure will remain
in place over the northern and central waters today and tonight.
The high will slowly shift E of the waters Tue into Wed while
maintaining a weakening ridge axis W and SW into the area. A low
pressure trough along the SE coast will persist through Tue, then
weaken Tue night into Wed. A strong cold front will reach the
northern waters Wed, then move quickly SE across the central
waters Wed night. The front will stall across the southern waters
Thu and Thu night, then remain in the area through Fri, while
high pressure builds to the N of the area. Low pressure will
begin to organize and strengthen along the front off the Georgia
and South Carolina coast Fri night. The USCG communications
facility Charleston, South Carolina is still experiencing
technical difficulties. Technicians are aware of the problem. We
apologize for any inconvenience.
