West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Low pressure will move
northeastward from near the North Carolina and Virginia coast
late this morning, across the central and northern waters later
today into Sat while pulling an associated cold front over the
area. The low will then pass NE of the waters later Sat and Sat
night, with the trailing cold front stalling over the central
portions late Sat into Sun. Mariners should use caution for
locally very gusty winds and very rough seas in and near
scattered to numerous thunderstorms likely over the region
through the weekend. Otherwise, another low center will track E
and NE along boundary Sun night and Mon as the front lifts N over
the northern waters. The low will pass NE of the waters Mon night
with the associated boundary extending W and SW from the low
gradually lifting N into the far northern waters. The warm front
will then lift N of the area Tue as low pressure crosses southern
New England. A weak cold front will move E into the N waters Tue
night. Chesapeake NAVTEX is out of service. Technicians are
aware, and are awaiting parts. We apologize for the
inconvenience.
