West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front across the central
waters will dissipate late today. Low pressure just S of the cold
front will slowly move SE through Mon while slowly pulling a cold
front S across the S waters. A high pressure ridge will build SE
over the northern waters tonight through Sun night, then weaken
Mon. Another weakening cold front will move S over the northern
waters late Mon and Mon night, before another high builds just N
of the waters Tue and Tue night. The high will shift NE of the
area Wed and Wed night. Hurricane Erin, currently well SE of the
waters, will approach the region from the SE and S Tue and Tue
night, then track N and NE to the E of the area Wed and Wed
night. Long period SE to S swell from Erin will move into the S
waters Sun night, expand across the remainder of the area Mon
through Tue, and continue through Wed night. For more information
on Hurricane Erin, please closely monitor the latest forecasts
from the National Hurricane Center.
