from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Developing low pressure located
about 180 nm off the North Carolina coast early this morning will
track slowly NE today along a frontal boundary. A trailing cold
front will move slowly S over the southern waters into tonight.
The low will pass E of the offshore waters later tonight and Mon
with the trailing cold front stalling over the far S waters. The
National Hurricane Center is monitoring the low for any signs of
sub-tropical or tropical cyclone development, and mariners should
monitor the latest forecast and information from the National
Hurricane Center. Also, all mariners should use caution in or
near any of the heavier thunderstorms which will likely persist
mainly near and S of the front and low pressure area today into
tonight, and also in the strong counterflow mainly in and near
the W wall of the gulf stream where very gusty winds and very
rough seas will be likely today. Otherwise, The front will linger
over the far S waters Mon night through Thu night with weak lows
occasionally forming along the frontal boundary. High pressure
over the far N waters will prevail for the next few days, with a
stronger high expected to build N of the area Tue night into Thu
night.
