from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Low pressure just E of the S
waters will lift slowly NE along a stationary front tonight while
a cold front moves S into the N waters. The cold front will
become stationary across the central waters tonight through Tue
night. High pressure will build S into the N waters behind the
front, then move NE away from the area Wed. The eye of Hurricane
Erin is expected to move N into the outer S waters late Wed, then
continue N and NE through the outer S and central waters Wed
night and Thu before turning more NE and moving through the Outer
Mid-Atlantic Waters Thu night through Fri night. Tropical storm
conditions are expected over most of the area SE of a line from
the Virginia Capes to Georges Bank. Long period SE to S swell
from Erin, already affecting the waters, will spread N into the
central and N waters late tonight through Tue night. Significant
swell will continue through Fri night while gradually backing to
the E Wed through Thu night. Another high will build over the
waters Fri through Sat night. For more information on Hurricane
Erin, please closely monitor the latest forecasts from the
National Hurricane Center.
